Lexington has become well known across the Midlands as the "ANTIQUE CENTER OF NEBRASKA". The community has 10 antique shops and a mall with over 20 dealers displaying items.   The Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce will stage their 17th annual Labor Day Weekend Antique and Craft Extravaganza in 2003. Over 270 dealers will attract between 14,000 &15,000 visitors for the three days.

The Lexington Optimist sponsor their annual Farm Machinery Auction in February that attracts over a thousand bidders.

Lexington is home of the Dawson County Fair, which attracts over 20,000 visitors every August.

An old-fashioned 4th of July is held annually in Memorial Park.

The Lexington Veteran's Day activities are always a great opportunity to recognize our veterans who gave their lives for our freedom.
